Bamboo Grove AI LLP is a two-member limited liability partnership, incorporated in London on 23 July 2025. We are five people across two countries. We work slowly. We publish less than the calendar would prefer. We answer in writing.
We are a research and product studio building quiet, deeply personalised AI for wellbeing. We work across mindfulness practice, sleep architecture, and on-device reflective journaling. We share a small studio above a stationer's in Kings Cross, three minutes from the British Library, where most of our drafting happens.
We chose the LLP structure deliberately. It places personal responsibility on the designated members for the conduct of the studio — including how it treats users' data — in a way a private limited company would not. We think this matters, for a category like ours.
Natallia Baranouskaya — designated member, model & product. Trained as a cognitive scientist in Minsk and London; previously led a small wellbeing-adjacent ML team in the NHS innovation pipeline.
Stanislau Baranouski — designated member, systems & on-device inference. Background in distributed systems at scale; chose this category after a sabbatical reading and walking, in 2024.
Three further collaborators — a researcher in contemplative neuroscience (Bristol), a sleep clinician (Galway), and a writer who edits everything we publish (Edinburgh). Not designated members; named in our annual editorial note.
We are required to file annual accounts and a confirmation statement with Companies House. We treat those filings as part of the work, not as a chore. Both designated members are British-resident at the studio address; our register entry, accounts, and any future filings can be inspected at the Companies House URL below.
We work four days a week, with the fifth reserved for reading, walking, and the practices we ship. We hold a Monday morning hour to set the week's writing, a Thursday afternoon hour to review what we made, and otherwise we work in long, uninterrupted blocks. We have never used a streak metric internally. We use, instead, a written Friday letter to one another.
We do not have an office phone. We do not run a chat widget. We answer email in writing within two to three working days. We think these small frictions concentrate the conversations that matter, and dissolve the ones that do not.
The studio behind a calm product
must, eventually, learn to be calm itself.
